€40 Million EIB funding boosts Battolyser® production capacity

Battolyser Systems signs €40 million financing agreement with European Investment Bank, aimed commercialising and scaling up production capacity of its Battolyser® product range.

The financing will enable the company to scale its production facility in Rotterdam towards mass production of its combined electricity storage and electrolyser stack system. The technology is currently operational at the RWE Magnum power plant and commercial deployment is scheduled for 2024.

    This week we have received the keys to our new Battolyser® facility in Schiedam. With over 7,000m2, this location can accommodate all our activities and provide space for further growth. These premises will house our production activities and laboratory with electrode, cell and full system testing, and provide ample office space for all our engineering and other staff.

    The Nederlandse Waterstof Delta consortium has handed over a plan to MPs Bontenbal (CDA), Boucke (D66) and Erkens (VVD) to kick-start the manufacturing industry for electrolysers and so accelerate the hydrogen economy. The plan – The Nederlandse Waterstof Delta – has been designed by 12 consortium partners.
